My friend with gout has used castor oil packs on the feet with success. Mostly rubbing the offending foot with castor oil before bed and then wrapping the foot in a plastic bag."
I attempted this and put a heating pad around my foot. LOL It felt great except that I put it on before I slept and woke up with a overheated foot! At any rate, the first time, it felt decent in the beginning of the day. Over the day though, my toe began to hurt, per what was usual.
Last night, I did this again. First off, I took a bath with ACV, ES, MSM, BS, H2O2 (overkill? but no harm) and some lavendar essential oils (was getting ready for bed). Was relaxed and stretched enough to sleep. Before I went to bed, put the castor oil on and inserted in plastic bag, again put heating pad on (and yes, fell asleep again and woke up to it being too hot, took off pad and went back to sleep) and woke up this morning able to bend toe without pain. Still am, except to be fair, have not done anything much today. It is my off day, and have slippers on right now. I, also, drank the cherry juice today (try to do it every day but had not done so in about a week).
I am going to do a fast beginning first of year and last time I did so, it went away. I am praying that this time, it will stay gone!
Yet, if this stops it, the castor oil treatment, I will so be grateful.
Thanks for posting the information about the castor oil and gout, Azurite.
Peace,
Beth
