you posted a problem you had with your dog (or a dog)... that the dog seemed to dislike or distrust you... but that lately the dog comes to you... with affection... it's because you are learning to love... to love life... to care and feel deeply... and with that... i believe that the human body is in an unusually heightened state... and believe it or not your body will put off a different odor... a sweet smell... one that attracts animals... particularly dogs and cats... but by the same token... in some cases i believe it may also repel certain other more dangerous animals... case in point... 'david in the lions den'... i think the lions were afraid of david because he didn't give off the usual smells generated by fear... instead he gave off only "the sweet smell of love" which confused and frightened them... because 'fear'...that was the usual smell associated with their dinner was missing... but any way... that's my take on it...
something i learned personally about forgiveness... it means the release of our most negative attachments... when someone wrongs us... we make them our prisoner... and we may hold them there in that mental prison indefinitely... but when a person seeks... or becomes enlightened... they will realize that true freedom can only be attained by the release of all prisoners/attachments... because as long as we are holding these prisoners without parole they are ours to keep... to have and hold... til death do us part... lol... ;-) ... for just as it is with actual prisons there must be a warden... a jailer... a guard... one who keeps them shut in... that warden/jailer or guard is as much imprisoned as the prisoners themselves...
thus we learn the true meaning of unconditional love... we must always strive to love everyone just as God loves them... however feebly we do it at first... we begin to see the great benefit of it...
sometimes i am able to love unconditionally... many times not... my ego still has a tendency to take prisoners... but my true self/spirit will usually only allow it to have it's way for a little while... and then opens the gates to freedom... lol... ;-) because once we become accustomed to being free... it makes us feel very uneasy to be held prisoner again... especially in ones own self made prison... lol... ;-)
hope some of this makes sense to you...
not even sure that it makes sense to me...
but i am sure of one thing...
"it is a wonderful day in the neighborhood"...
lol...
