it's the lesser of the two evils...
if drugs were legal... there would be no demand for illegal drugs... therefore no drug pushers... just as there is no demand for illegal alcohol today... but bootleggers flourished during a period of prohibition...
plus... think about the benefits of being users being supervised... it will most certainly help reduce the spread of diseases caused by sharing dirty needles...
the article i read said that there would probably be political problems... and i believe politics to be the major problem...
if drugs were made legal it would completely wipe out the need for 'war on drugs'... look at all the taxes the government could collect for one thing... and besides... the people doing the drugs would be more likely to quit if the drugs were legal...
and think about this... a lot of young people are doing drugs because it is easier for them to get illegal drugs than it is to get alcohol... which i think is the most dumb law ever... think about it... you can be drafted as soon as you turn 18 years old... you can fight and die for your country... but you can't drink until you are 21 years old... does not make any sense at all in my book... simply does not compute... beam me up Scotty... there seems to be no intelligent life on this planet...
