Molly Bloom
I've been on CZ for about 2 years now. I have learned something....a sense of humor is a life saver.
Most of us have terrible pains and problems. Some of us have overcome. Some of us are still struggling.
I ask you....how many of you use humor in your everyday life? I mean, think about all the silly, absurb things you see? The woman at the grocery store wearing a ridiculous pink wig? Your co-workers acting like imbeciles? People are hilarious.
Animals are equally bizzare. Every night my cats blow me away. They are freaks. One cat will knock over any water filled object in the house. No vases of flowers are allowed. In the morning, Ozzie has dragged his water bowl to the middle of the floor with a lake of water behind. It messed with my son so much, that we gave him a non-tip cat water bowl for his birthday. He said it was his favorite gift.
Everyday I see so many things that make me laugh. I try to make people laugh. They try to make me laugh. I think it's contagious.
Life is so serious. What do you do if you can't laugh? Don't you think a good laugh is almost better than sex?...Who makes you laugh? Don't you just want to be around those people all the time? Perhaps we need to seek out the people that make us laugh the hardiest and stick with them. Who makes YOU laugh?
Really, it's the totally inane, simply absurb things in life that make life interesting and hilarious. We've all lived some pretty disfunctional times. I agree there are things that are just not funny, but if you really look at them?
My husband said that it was my sense of humor that cured all my ills. He is clinically depressed and the best I can do for him is make him laugh. Sometimes I feel like a stand up comedian, but the man pays me back by being happy and healthy as much as he can.
I guess my question is...can you laugh yourself to health?
