MCS with cats...how do you get rid o...

Hi all----
To those of you who have cats and can live with them without problems, I ask you what do you use to clean up the times when the kitty pees on the carpet? (Or does this happen in your house?) What products do you use? What works for you?
Also what litter do you use?

Hmmmm... most people who have MCS cannot have carpet in their house because the carpets have toxic chemicals including formaldehyde and glues and stain protector chemicals, and because they harbor dust and dust mites under them and in them.
I use plain clay kitty litter - no scent...no synthetic chemicals
Did you try vinegar and or baking soda to remove it?

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,021,501Actually no I don't have MCS anymore! YEAH! I am free of it. However I do live in a house that has two room carpeted, the rest is hardwood flooring. I want to get a kitty but hubby is scared to death that if it pees on the carpet and we use a cleaner (years ago I used something that had an orange fragrence to it and it made me very sick)which ended in disaster. Even though I am not sick now, he is catastrophizing.....so I wanted to see what others use who currently have the MCS.
The vinager and baking soda probably would not be strong enough. Thanks.
PS- I got well doing diaphragmatic breathing, cognitive therapy and neurofeedback.

This is a reply to # 1,021,041I just thought of something. You might have to raise up the carpet and also clean that padding stuff that is underneath it as well as clean underneath the padding. If you clean just from the top of the carpet, the pee is still on that padding and possibly through it all the way to the floor.

This is a reply to # 1,021,041You can try the baking soda and the vinegar solution to get the pee smell out of your carpet.. I tried it for my home wool carpet..
