Today.
So where am I? It's a bit after noon, Colorado time, and I'm at my office, writing this. Although it would clearly be beneficial for me to see the Spiritual Healer who is only in town for 4 days, twice a year, and this is probably his last day doing appointments, I have not yet arranged to see him. Partly, it's a money issue. And partly, it's simply that I thought a few weeks ago I didn't need to see him this time, now I'm having doubts about that, as it's always cleansing and purifying and regenerating to go in for a session with him, and I could surely use that right now.
Later this afternoon I am meeting up with an old friend I haven't seen in at least 10 years. She's coming through Colorado on her way somewhere else, and we're going to a very special rawluck, which is a raw foods potluck.
Prior to the rawluck, we must go to a market and get something to bring with us...fruit...perhaps.
Then I have tasks at home to complete: laundry, kitchen rearrangement, cat-related cleanup, gardening (only if the rain stops), and more.
But I'm here at my office. Avoidant? Could be.
I did go to the Spiritual Healer's talk on Thursday, and it was different than it usually is when he comes to town, as his amazing assistant Kim is back in Iowa and did not go with him around the country this time. Kim explains the way the the healing works, and the healer's family history, as he is one generation in a long line of healers, and I love the way Kim goes into detail about humans' place in the natural universe. People who were there told their stories of healing results with the healer, some going back almost 20 years, but this came off as being more testimonials than scientific/factual explanations, which is more what I prefer. I'm sure there are many who prefer the testimonials.
Sooooo, after hearing the testimonials, I was still on the fence about whether or not to schedule a session, and thus did not. Not having enough money to really afford it does make a difference.
Sometimes he does trades, but it doesn't seem like that is an option this time.
I try not to let monetary limitations get in the way of beneficial experiences.
Maybe I'll call and make an appointment.
But then there's the timing issue. I've got all the things to do at home, plus meeting my friend from out of town 4-ish this afternoon several miles away. Then our various excursions plus the rawluck, etc. will put me back in town at 8pm.
Therefore there's a tiny slice of time between now and 4-ish when I could actually go in for a session; however it's recommended that a person meditate outside the healing room or in their garden for awhile afterward, and then go rest quietly at home thereafter for the day.
I'm not scheduled to be able to do that today. Not at all.
Maybe I'll call and see if he's doing any sessions tomorrow. I've got a lunch date in Denver tomorrow, but maybe there's a very early morning session available.
If not, I will just do a healing session with him the next time he comes to town.
Thanks for listening while I think out loud. Often that helps me to get a linear grid going for how I will proceed through the day.
Lots of driving in the rain. And laundry. And maybe Spiritual Healing. The rawlucks are always colorful, healthy, and social in a positive way.
Most Sundays there's nowhere I have to be, and I just stay home, or get caught up with cleaning my office.
It's kind of nice to have a busy Sunday.
