OK.
So, you want an advice.

Take a time and go to see yourself in a mirror.
You will see 27 year-old female in the mirror, that lot of people would love to love.

Continue on that road and sooner or later you end up like me.
Sure, I'm lot older and a male, so I will not find that many people like you to like me in the best of times.
But after what happened to me in july "removed" the rest of those who would like my face NOW !
Left side of the face is paralysed, left eye half open and out of alignement, left ear lost hearing and is now hearing "white noise", troubles swallowing, speaking is difficult, skin problems.................and this is just in the face.

It may not be a direct consecuence of alcohol, that I had a STROKE.
My honest opinion is that it played a part in it and that is enough to warn you my dear lady !

Pull yourself together and get help. You can do it !
Do not destroy yourself!
(so far Im only mentioning ONE possible future problem)

So when you go to that mirror, have a good look at yourself and ask: Is that my possible future !

believe it or not... the reason you drink is because you have a 'dis-ease'... which is to say that you are not at all at ease with the people/places/things around you and therefore seek an escape via alcohol or any other mood altering substance...

what most fail to understand is who we truly are... religions only serve to confuse us... what is necessary... is to find your innermost Self/soul/spirit... and how you do that... is entirely up to you...

i made my own discoveries by following the 12 step program of Alcoholics Anonymous... it has worked for me and a countless number of others... but it is only you that decide which route to take... i have given up on trying to promote AA because it seems to be of no avail... i can only tell you what i did... and if you choose to follow the same path i hope you achieve the same results...

and if you identify then perhaps you may wish to attend an AA meeting... but be forewarned there may be men at your first meeting that might try to hit on you/take advantage of you... i wish this were not so... but in truth it happens all too often... so... if and when you decide to go to first meeting you might consider taking someone with you... or if you have to go alone... try to stay with the females of the group...

i will close by saying this... sobriety begins by not drinking... it requires that you completely abstain from using any mood altering drug... because the truth of the matter is that we were sick long before we ever picked up that first drink or drug... and AA teaches us a design for living... a new way to live... a life of freedom that i would never have known otherwise...

Lilllyntally, unlike my good friend dro, I didn’t show up in my first AA meeting looking for God. I didn’t show up to become a better person. I didn’t show up to find a balance in my life. I just showed up hoping the pain would stop.

Not so much the physical pain, but the mental pain of making eye contact with myself in the mirror. I hated what I had become. And I could not stop drinking.

In a little less than two weeks I will have gone 9 years without a drink. Not even a little one when no one was looking. I wasn’t looking for any of those other things, I just wanted all that insanity in my life to stop. But I found all that and more.

Lilllyntally, there are young people’s meetings, look for one. For people like us, there are only a couple of ways things can go. We can get better in recovery, or we can keep living the life of an active alcoholic.

Many cling and run to the outside sponsorship system ignoring A.A's B idea and it's fellowship which is JUST ANOTHER SUBSTITUTION for the real Message of the Big Book as people places and things will (not can) easily divert us in A.A.
