Yes, there are a few things to know.
First, you do not have to buy that yogurt maker, if you have a saucepan.
Heat your milk (yes, you can use regular milk) to a boil. Boil it, stirring for one minute. Cool to 115' Then mix in a couple tablespoons of yogurt - or in your case, your probiotics.
Cover the yogurt (plastic wrap is fine), and incubate it overnight in a warm spot. I like to use the oven, leaving the light on. If you have a gas oven, the pilot light is enough.
The yogurt will be ready in the morning (5-8 hours). It will firm up further in the refrigerator. If it gets runny, that is just whey. Mix it back in, or pour it off- whatever you want.
Soon, you may be looking for delicious ways to enjoy your yogurt. My favorite- half yogurt and half orange juice, dash of lemon &/or cinnamon, poured over warmed berries. Mmmmm.... "fruit soup" *note some people do not do dairy or fruit on an anticandida diet. I do, minimally.
