Iodine and Dreaming   by achin70   8 year 1 of 1 (100%)

Ok, well Iodine works to decalcify the pineal gland. Fluoride is naturally drawn to the pineal because it's highly vascularized (a lot of blood flows through the gland). The decalcification of the pineal helps with melatonin production. Melatonin will help with the sleep cycle, but it also helps to produce more DMT.

The biochemical pathway works like this: tryptophan, 5-HTP, serotonin, melatonin, DMT.

From a spiritual perspective, the thyroid gland is the midpoint between the heavens (the third eye/6th chakra) and the earth (the heart chakra/4th chakra). A better functioning thyroid bridges the gap between the heavens and the earth.

Hope this helps!

Blessings,
Andrew

Iodine & Dreams by Turiya   by wombat   17 year 1 of 1 (100%)

One of the first side effect of taking Iodine is often vivid dreams. Here is a post Turiya wrote about the subject.

SUBJECT: EMOTIONS, VIVID DREAMS, FEELING MORE FREE TO BE EXPRESSIVE AND OUT-GOING.
(1) CRAZY DREAMS
I had the craziest dream last night and woke up every hour or so. I dreamt my dad of 80 years sold one of my antique dressers for $1.35 to a salesman selling CDs about the Presidents. I was in a rage because he would not sell it back to me. I was in a "flying rage" all night. Literally! I was flying all over the place screaming at everyone about my stupid dresser. I woke up feeling like I had a hangover!
I'm not so sure I like this stuff. Maybe I should cut back?
So is this a detox dream? What the hell am I detoxing?

(2) VIVID DREAMS-I still have little to no side effects (just a little headache), but tonight I experienced LOTS of extremely vivid and meaningful dreams.
I have seen this dream thing mentioned in other posts and I was wondering, does anybody know what exactly causes that? Is this a good or a bad sign?

(3) MORE OUTGOING-I don't know if this makes sense, but a lot of times, I would just keep silent in a lot conversations, I was known as a good listener. But in reality, I just did not speak up for some reason. Now, I will pipe up in company meetings, or just with friends, and they have all commented on how much more outgoing I seem to be lately, I wonder if Iodine could have something to do with that? -Sounds a little bit out there to me:)
---------------------------------

(1)There are at least a couple reasons for experiencing vivid or crazy dreams. First of all, if upon waking you are experiencing a headache or feeling like you are having a bit of a hangover, the chances are that this is a sign of fluoride, bromide or other heavy metal detoxing from the tissues of the body. When a quantity of toxins has been released, this may affect one’s sleep state to a certain degree. This may result in sleep that is not deep… often interrupted…experiencing of night sweats and/or having disturbing dreams that occur… as if one had taken some bad drugs and is having a bad reaction. There is a certain small percentage of people that may have an allergic reaction to Iodine itself, so, be sure to start slow with small dosages so to ensure that you can monitor this for yourself.

(2) Secondly, understanding the relation thyroid has in its connection with the 5th chakra may be meaningful for some that find themselves becoming more fluid with conversation and self expression. It is understood that emotional issues relative to the paternal father are connected with the 5th chakra [thyroid], while mother issues are connected to the 2nd [hara]. The 5th chakra is considered the center for creative expression. It may get stuck due to a past childhood trauma(s). Iodine seems to help the body release repressed emotions that are psychologically preventing one from creatively expressing ones innermost feelings. Repressed emotions are those that [for some reason or other] have not been allowed to be fully expressed, as they are tied to past events and remain as tensions within the body-mind mechanism. Dreams, remembering, and/or re-living certain events are indicative of their release. It is a way for these pent-up emotions to come to their final conclusion and closure. In other words, this can mean that the bars to a sort of self-imposed mental prison are beginning to dissolve away…it is the unloading of unnecessary baggage that one may have been carrying… in some instances, perhaps, for many years... It is considered as a sign of mental & physical healing. In this regard these dreams tend to be more vivid… with more detail… One awakens relaxed… refreshed… and with a sense of well-being.

This is the fundamental reason why we dream... for the dream state is a limitless arena for incomplete emotions and desires, that were born in the so-called 'waking' state, to fully play themselves out, unrestricted by social norms... as all emotions and desires naturally tend to seek a fulfillment.
