I have juice fasted in the past for 15 days and I lost 20 pounds. I now want to try a juice fast for 30 days. Does anybody have any good detox smoothie/juice recipes? Also is it ok to add rice milk to your smoothie while juice fasting? Will the rice milk effect the detox process?

With all great questions the answer is "it depends".

I don't recommend rice milk on a juice fast as it tends to be counteractive. However if you feel that you are detoxing too fast it is a way to potentially sow down the detox.

I would recommend homemade rice milk over that bought from the shop though to avoid pasteurization and various stabilizing chemicals etc.

Other alternatives to slow down the fast include home made raw almond mylks and various other seed and nut mylks.

Preferably though you will spend some of your fasting days consuming only freshly made raw vegetable juices.

I personally am a big fan of The Master Cleanse consisting of the lemonade juice. It is widely considered as the ultimate way to cleanse the entire body. The recipe is also very easy.

Just lemon juice, cayenne pepper, organic maple syrup and plenty of water. Celtic Sea Salt is also recommended.

Check out my blog for more info on this and then leave your thoughts afterwards - I wish you all the best!

Nothing refined during fasting - that is the point. Rise milk is a refined product and rise in general has nothing to do with fasting. Juice fast means actually juicing fresh fruits and veggies and that's it. No concentrated juice, no milk, no yogurt to it, nothing!
