Yes. Along with many other health issues that it can cause, sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide can case kidney damage and renal failure.

MMS is a strong oxidizer and will cause oxidative stress when consumed for any prolonged period of time. Oxidative stress is the OPPOSITE of antioxidants, in fact it neutralizes antioxidants in your body and has been linked to many diseases including anemia, premature ageing, even Alzheimer's disease. Some research has even indicated that it could be genotoxic, which means it can break DNA inside cells which can ultimately lead to cancer.
