There are literally dozens of variations of dosing recommendations given across the web by various manufactures/sellers and forum posters for ALL iodines.
Note these iodines are manufactured through an interpretation of the Cayce readings and also vary one to the other.
For Nascent, the average recommended dose is 5 to 10 drops in one-half glass of cold water; then repeated every two or three hours. When an intensive effect is desired 20 or more drops is suggested.
For Detoxified, dosing for maintenance is recommended at 1 to 2 drops per day... then again, I have read where dosing should be cycled over a period of 5 days, 1 drop then 2 then 3 then 2 and then 1 again with a three week break, starting over again and repeating on monthly cycle... I have also read to cycle up 5 days on 2 days off 1 drop for 5 days, 2 day break then 2 drops and so on until 5 drops a day have been reached then cycling back down to 1 and taking a break. 5 days on and 10 days off have been noted as well.
For Magnascent, dose is dependent on "desired effect". One drop is recommended as a dietary supplement dosing. If additional energy is desired, take up to 5 drops daily. If dealing with a chronic health issue, take 5 drops three or four times a day.
The idea in most cases with these iodines is that frequent small doses are more effective than one large dose.
I think the primary reasons for the huge differences in dosing recommendations are due not only to individual needs, but also geographic locations and the dietary needs of the population.
You will most likely be able to find many variations on these recommended levels of intake as well, in addition to other forms of "Cayce" iodines, such as Electrodine... the bottom line is that we all need to make an educated assessment of our own needs, and/or see an Iodine educated health practitioner and move forward accordingly.
Clear as mud?
Do not get confused with all the variation... assess your needs and move forward accordingly. Pay attention to YOUR response to dosing and adjust accordingly as you move forward.
