My grandmother does not eat well she is 85 years old thin and frail and a lot of times when she eats she gets diarrhea and sometimes she throws up too. When she gets this no matter what I give her to eat she throws it up or gets diarrhea, and she has anemia. This last time she ended up in the hospital for 3 days, she just got home and on her first meal she did it again. The Doctor just said to give her soups and whatever she wants to eat, she wanted nothing to eat. I gave her soup, and she got stomach cramps and diarrhea. What can I give her that is NOT a drug to calm her stomach and get some nutrition to stay in her? Also what is a good thing to give her to stop the diarrhea, when she gets it? Thank you

I have tried peppermint for quite a while now, and it seems to help with the elderly. You can also make her fennel tea. that helps settle the stomach too.
