If you have iodine 15% in a 500ml, how many ml of water would have to be added to make Lugol's 5%?

you need to double check but... by zabavadad 16 year
500ml of 15% means you have 33.33ml of pure iodine
if you add 160ml of water that would give you a total of 660ml which would contain 33.33 ml of Iodine if you take 5% of 660ml that gives you 33ml which is the amount of Iodine you had in the first place. So a total of 660ml should make it a 5% solution.
Again I think this is correct but you should check the math and be sure I got it right.
