Read the literature recommended by the Weston A. Price foundation. It is curable through nutrition and alternative medicine (the latter is my very informed opinion as bodywork, general alternative medicine if you know what you're doing will have the same effect as nutrition). Particularly helpful is the diet and supplements found in Sally Fallon's book -- "Nourishing Traditions". Totally curable, although perhaps only in the younger years. I actually forget as I have not read the literature in a while. May be totally curable in general. If anything, it will help an adult mentally retarded person.
