I would expect a combination of sodium Iodide and potassium Iodide to not react with one another any more than would mixing sodium chloride and potassium chloride. So, if by "safe" the question asks whether there is to be expected any exotherm, changes in phase, ebullition, explosions or other untoward reactions, I would say the answer is no. Since a wide range of foods contain both sodium and potassium I would expect no untoward effects from ingesting a mixture of sodium and potassium iodides, provided supplementation with Iodine is otherwise indicated in the person.
