This is a Garden Management Journal
Entry on the Plant Your Dream Blog.
Our soul, our connection with what
is divine, lies buried at the bottom
of the wounds we often feel.
The Garden in one definition
is Consciousness itself,
the unbroken wholeness in flowing
movement. The Management of
your Garden of Consciousness is

soul, from each other.

crack.

The Crack is a Gap.
between your Soul, Mind,
and Body. The Crack
is a Gulf where disaster
is taking place. Most
of us have been living
as disasters waiting to happen.

I just woke up and was thinking about my next steps
with the house.

Things are not right here.
Things are not right inside me.

I am unnerved.
We are in Summer Shift 2010.

It will take adult behavior to get through this summer.
I have not been responding to the current
situation with adult behavior.

I have housemate now
who is my main ally,
as far as clear communication.

He is prepared to move out.
He does not feel good about the way things are going.

The quality of communication between
him and another housemate are intolerable.

I have been seeking a new housemate.
I have pretty much decided on who that housemate will be,
but we have missed a few steps in the intake interview.

At this moment I have said yes to him,
but I am getting some red flags.

His moving in, will influence my current ally living here,
the one who communicates well.

We need to have a council.

There is another housemate.
I am unnerved around him.
It is the same housemate my ally
is feels does not communicate well.

I feel destabilized when I am
in the universe of his being.
He does not like me blogging about him.
Blogging is my way of life.
Blogging is how I stay clear with myself.

My blog is many things to me.
One, it is my open journal.


HERE IS ONE REASON I BLOG

Here is one reason I blog:

I was once at a conference.
I was selling a book I wrote called
"Rekindling of Faith."

I did a lot of ceremony work at that conference.
A man came up to me.
He said, "How did you become enlightened?"

I was taken aback.
I never thought of myself as enlightened.
I may sometimes have moments of enlightenment.
but I am very much very human.
I have many moments of vulnerability.
I was born to feel a wide range of emotions
and to learn to write about them.

Writing about what I am feeling,
even if it is not pretty,
is part of my service.

There may be one person out there
beside myself you may be helped.

LEAVING A TRAIL

I want to leave a trail.
Wisdom is necessary to survive
and thrive these times.

Wisdom, by definition,
is the application of knowledge to experience.
We are here to learn from our mistakes.
We are here to learn from our experiences.

It is possible to learning from each other.

I want this blog to be as honest as I can be.

I am writing an open journal here,
of very personal and private thoughts.

I am also writing about the journey of
learning to stand on my own two feet
in shaky times.

There are many of us who are disabled
by interacting with a world that is very much
crippled. We feel crippled interacting with that
world.

THE MOMENT OF AWAKENING

The world we live in is our world.
The world very much needs a moment of
awakening right now.

I side with Debbie Ford whose work has to do with
the power in the dark, in the shadow.

I have been reading again from
"The Rebirth of Mother Earth,"
another very timely book I wrote from
around the time the Valdez crashed and
spilled Oil in 1989.

The Valdez was an oil tanker
being driven by a captain who had been driven.
The ship was damaged.
OIl began to seep out in what was
up until Deepwater, the largest spilling
of oil on U.S. land.

We are all crashing right now.
We all have cracks in our hulls.

I have a clear vision of what I want the Enchanted Garden
to be. I am willing to back off from this vision for now.

There is a part of me that feels I have enough to do
in my life without the burden of this house
around me.

It is not easy living with eight other people.

I have been too tired and unsettled inside myself
to have clarity the last few days to think deeply
about the course of action. I have been
in the spirit of the Summer Solstice,
a very powerful moment.

I just woke up with some clarity.

I cannot afford to live, to go on here,
with the quality of communication that I have
with numbers of the housemates.

I have to go into personal talk with some of them.
The future of living here is in the balance.

I was thinking of all this when
Lewis Mehl-Madrona called on the phone.

He is a healer who has written numbers of books.
He is in the Native American tradition.

He called because I called him.
He was returning my call.

I called him about a month ago
and asked him to call back a friend of mine
who was waiting for a call from him.
She had met him. She was very moved
and read all of his books.

She was waiting for a call.
That call was going to determine if she
would go through surgery.
He did not call back before she had the
surgery. She took that as a sing.

I called him and left a message
telling him to call her.
I said that this was important that he call her back.
I take it as a sign that he called me back
in this very timely moment.

I met Lewis Mel-Madrona about ten years ago.

I believe he was working for Beth Israel,
or doing work at the University of Pittsburgh.

He tells me now he has Cherokee and Lakota roots.
I believe he is also a medical doctor.
as well an M.D. He bridges numbers of worlds
that now need bridging.

Maybe that is the message of his calling.

We need a Vision Quest right now, right here.

Important time of council....
The future of the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
is at stake here.

These are important days to take steps.

There is wisdom in what my housemate is saying,
the one who wants to stay here, but who unnerves me.
He threatened me last week to the core.
I can see that is influencing my decisions about
doing the right thing here.

We need to bring up what he said in council.

WHY I RECORD THE MINUTES
and the days on my blog.

I believe that the moments we do things
have intertwined with the seasons and movements
of the planets. The planets do not fate our movements,
but they create energies that co-create opportunities
for Soul growth.

Why are we here? To grow.
We choose our alignments with the planets through
the moment we are born.

This is what I am finding.
He is speaking about time,
just as I was just writing about a few moments ago.

This is what he says.
I can see why he called me right now
as I was coming to some point of decision about what to do next.


COYOTE WRISTWATCH

"Our ancestors knew that nature was a constant surprise.
Scientists are beginning to come to the same conclusion.
Coyote's wristwatch is a chemical clock, a flash of nature
that alternates once a second between all of its molecules
appearing perhaps blue and the next second, appearing red.
No scientist would have believed in such chemical clocks
if they had not been observed. Coyote, however,
"knew" in the space between the molecules,
mocking our order of sense and propriety.
Still, the more we know, the less we know.
The most amazing things of earth and sky perpetually

The point of this is that we can never know
with certainty that which is possible
and that which is impossible.

Our capacity to analyze and apprehend
the world is so limited
that our goal of "full knowledge" will never be realized.

How does this pertain to health care?
This is how it pertains:
We can never know the limits of healing.
We can never know with certainty who will live and who will die -
who will recover and who will not.
Indeed, we cannot even know -
as I sometimes suspect -
if death might not be the ultimate healing
for some people."


OUR HOPES OR OUR EXPECTATIONS
MAY NOT COME TO FRUITION

"The first lesson we learned
from our ancestors is to expect a miracle -
to prepare in all ways for it -
to humbly believe that things beyond our ken are possible,
and yet realize that our hopes or our expectations
may not come to fruition.
That our prayers may not be answered -
at least, not in the manner that we asked.
In the vast complexity of the universe,
it would be thoughtless to imagine that each
and every one of our desires and wishes should always come true.
In health care - or in all ways of life -
does that mean that we should
not be aligned with expectations,
fruitions, possibilities, hopes,
the striving for and then the letting go of "full knowledge" -
or the lessons of the Coyote?

I say that to not be so aligned
is a detriment both to our ability to heal -
and our capacity as a provider, to "care". "
