Introduction
Welcome to my uncensored, honest, crazy, emotional, scientific blog. Those reading this are going to know me way better than most people. Good thing you don't know me personally!
Date: 9/14/2007 4:51:41 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2321 times I have been led to chronicle one of my menstrual cycles.
Ewww!
I am a woman who loves the fact that I am female. I love all that comes with the awesome responsibility of being the portal through which life emerges into this dimension. So this blog will not and cannot be a series of rants and complaints about the “curse” or the “burden” that it is to be female. I love and am amazed by my body. But still am baffled from time to time about the intricate nature of my cycle.
Let me give some background information before I get into all the gory (pun intended) beauty that is my cycle.
I’m 36 years old. The moon first came upon me as a gift for my 10th birthday. It usually lasts 4-5 days. From the ages of 25-31ish it would last between 9-14 days. I had fibroids inside, outside and within the walls of my poor uterus; but they were removed when I was 31. Now I enjoy the type of cycle that I had prior to the fibroids. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 29. I formally exercise at least 2 times per week, but I walk a lot for work and such. I am overweight. I've been this way most of my life; but for some reason that bothers other people way more than it bothers me. I try not to eat out a lot and I have a lot of stress in my life that I believe I deal with healthily, but you never know.
I’m going to journal my moods, temperature, discharge, and all kinds of stuff. Then at the end I going to analyze everything maybe even generate a chart or two.
I don’t expect everyone to appreciate what I’m doing but I feel strongly led to do it, so I must. I’d like some constructive feedback.
Enjoy,
Bootzey
