Reflections on Day 1 and a little bit extra
This is a reflection on the first day of my water fast.

I am a 22 year old woman who is fasting to lose weight and also to lose her dependency on food. I was always about 120-130 pounds (i'm 5'6") but about two years ago, I went through a few tramuatic events in my life that triggered a huge weight gain. At my highest I was about 165 lbs. I begin this fast at about 155 pounds, and hope to get to 130-135 by the end. And then after, eventually back down to about 125.
Yesterday was Day 1 for me. It went well. I'm on summer break from school and only work on the weekends, so it was just a lot of lounging, napping, watching tv and drinking water. Today I work for a while, then I'll go home and just veg out again.
I think I'll set some mini-goals for myself. My first goal will be 145 lbs by July 6th. I know I can do this.
