Austin Arts Space offers opportunities to local artists

Austin Artist Video Director/Photographer Don Iarussi MFA has created the group Austin Arts Space, (www.austinartsspace.com). An organization that was created as a networking tool to promote the arts and artists in Austin, Texas and its vicinity.
We hope to bring all types of artists together to share ideas and to create opportunities and bring awareness to current opportunities that are available in Austin say group creator Don Iarussi.
Our web site has been listed opportunities that are available for artists from All disciplines ranging from opportunities for Fine Artists, Video Artists, Musicians, Writers, Actors, etc.
We want to be a resource for all artists that call Austin and its vicinity home. We will also be offering free classes in acting for seniors in 2007, other classes will soon follow. We also hope to offer discount cards to members as businesses in the community come on board and offer savings opportunities to our members.

Has agreed to have Austin Arts Space Curate the monthly arts shows at the Select Realty
Austin location located at 1021 E. 7th Street. Select Realty is one of the newest business members
Have the vibrant up and coming East Austin neighborhood.
“We are very excited about displaying our artists at the Select Realty location in Vibrant and diverse East Austin. The First show will be the end of January 2007 and will feature Austin’s finest up and coming artists and will also feature local musicians from classical guitar to rock, etc. Information on shows will be available at http://www.austinartsspace.com web page. The page is currently getting thousands of hits per week.
Wheatsville co-op has also been very supportive of the new arts group offering Austin Arts Space an opportunity to display their work at Third Thursday events on Guadalupe Street.
The web site currently has 100 plus members and is growing say’s Mr. Iarussi “We are only a few months old and have brought together a network of Austin, artists that are energetic and full of ideas.” We are non political and invite all artists to join Austin Arts Space and contribute ideas and opportunities. Austin Arts Space will be holding monthly networking meetings at various locations in the City of Austin. We hope to alternate locations to increase awareness of our group and to patronize as many establishments as possible. We have added a hotline courtesy of Net-Zero (512-351-4653) the number will be updated as needed; messages can also be left and will be retrieved daily.
Mr. Iarussi received his MFA in NYC and has previously served on the Board of Showtix, Artcetera, and Houston Business Volunteers for the Arts. The Award Winning video artist says he is fortunate enough to have worked with Academy Award winning actor F. Murray Abraham and acted as a publicist for the late great legendary Grammy winning blues guitarist “Texas Twister” Johnny Clyde Copeland.
