xm nation-my review of service
xm radio a nightmare with commercials
Date: 11/28/2006 4:07:08 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1489 times Friends I want to wish you all a happy holiday in my Blog and tell you my experience with being part of the “XM Nation”. XM nation, much like our own nation has a real problem with providing customer service. I was not delivered a product that works and let me tell you that if you are switching to XM radio for less commercials, lol. You will hear more commercials, and very annoying ones at that.
When listening to one XM station, say news talk. You will hear promos for all their other stations and these promos are usually promoting radio shows that are not even related to your taste. Another thing you should know is that you will hear foul language on some of the shows. Of course XM radio will tell you that you could have blocked that station. But how do you know they have foul language unless you hear it? I did not see any warnings. Listening to one XM Radio show, I heard Donald Trump literally mocking a 14-year-old boy who reported an incident where an older naked women wanted to take advantage of him. MR Trump actually said, “Why would a 14 year old boy report an naked older woman to the police?” I was shocked that XM would allow MR Trump to perpetuate the myth that there are no psychological problems related to older women sexually abusing young boys. I wrote XM an email and every one of their execs ignored my email. I wrote them snail mail and still have not received a reply.
The equipment was a nightmare. The first radio I had did not work and after waiting weeks for a replacement. I have another radio that is just not that good quality. I am saying goodbye to the XM nation and hello to free radio on the am/fm/SW dial.
Although my month of service is not over. I have disconnected my XM radio and
It now has a place in the storage bin with old phone chargers and my 8 track tapes.
