Mets continue to feed the hungry of New York

The postseason will serve as another great opportunity to recover meals that will feed thousands in Queens.

The New York Mets have partnered with Rock and Wrap It Up!, a national hunger relief and anti-poverty organization to participate in Sports Wrap! Sports Wrap works with New York Mets Management and Aramark in Shea Stadium to recover food that has been prepared but not sold.
After each home game in each stadium, hundred's of meals are donated to volunteers in waiting vehicles and are taken directly to pantries and shelters, in most instances blocks away from the stadium. Since its inception in 2005, over 50,000 people have been fed with Mets-generated leftover concession food.
