Introduction to my Juice Fasting Blog
I have started this blog because I wanted a journal of my plans to conduct a 30 day juice fast. I want to "ramp up" to the actual juice fast, rather than just jump in with no mental or dietary preparation. I have found from past experience that jumping in unprepared is unwise in the long run because the lack of preparation actually sabotages my efforts.

My biggest obstacle to success - I expect - will be my lack of discipline, lazyness, and current food addictions. I love coffee! I will drink up to 8 cups a day - loaded with suger and half-n-half. Last time I gave up coffee I had a wicked headache for three days. I also suffer from migraine headaches since I was 12 years old. I take Imatrex for the migraines, and don't like the idea of giving up the option of Imatrex in the event of a migraine - which WILL happen.
What do I hope to accomplish from a 30-day juice fast? Well, letting go of and breaking my food addictions is a great goal. Getting off the food addiction - migraine - exhaustion - cycle is my ultimate goal. You should know that I am about 80 pounds overweight. From all I have read about fasting, it is not the best method for weight loss for people like me who tend to feast afterward.
I have just discovered CureZone a few days ago (Feb 10 2006). I am joining in at the tail end of Dazzled's 30-day fast. Her Blog was an important factor in my deciding to stop thinking about Blogging and start this journal before and during my upcoming fast.
Cheers! *sips a glass of fresh juice*
