Our society is still very intolerant of anyone identified as "the others"

Our society is still very intolerant of anyone identified as "the others". Sometimes the others are a different race, sometimes they are people with mental illnesses or visible handicaps, sometimes they are people who make different sexua| choices, often they are those who choose to believe in a different religion, sometimes it's those who believe in natural medicine rather than drugs. This time around its people with herpes. Intolerance is an epidemic disease that does far more damage than any medical disease. Being black I know what it's like being on the receiving end of intolerance, being a black man with herpes gives me a double dose of it.
Many people with herpes are afraid to disclose their herpes status even to lovers because of fear of being identified as "the others".
Don't let the haters of this world bring you down. Love yourself, love this world, love life itself.
