Starting the master cleanse... Starting the master cleanse to jump-start a raw lifestyle and lose a ton of weight! I've been reading everything I can find about eating raw and have tried it out for a while. I'm amazed at how much better I feel after just a few days of high raw. I've also been reading lots about the master cleanse and juice fasting. So, I've tossed it back and forth... whether to go all raw first... do the master cleanse first or do a juice fast. I have decided on a combination, starting with ten days of the master cleanse. Tomorrow will be my first day, going until the 29th. I tried the mc one day last week and feel pretty confident about being able to do it. My husband is doing about 90% raw, so he is very supportive. I have a lot of weight to lose. A lot. Right now I weigh 289 pounds and am actually down from over 300. I have set goals to lose around 10 pounds a month. So, here's plan A... For the next ten days, the master cleanse. Then three days of coming off... that will be August 2nd. The next eight days will be mostly raw, with maybe some cooked veggies. Then, on the 9th of August, I want to start another round of the master cleanse or a combo of that and juicing for 10 days. If I feel like I can go longer, I may do that. After that, I will do ten days of juicing and/or the master cleanse each month. The rest of each month will be mostly raw. I'm setting some high goals/plans but I've been working toward this for months. I believe I am ready. What I want from this: 1. To change drastically and grow spiritually 2. More energy! 3. To cleanse my body of years of crud - hopefully pass mucoid plaque! 4. To lose obsession with food 5. To prefer healthy food rather than junk 6. For my digestion / elimination problems to be healed 7. Weight loss 8. To lose a couple of warts and moles 9. Improved eyesight 10. Improved skin 11. Look younger! 12. To feel great. Not good, great! 13. To have a clean, toxin-free body 14. To get the most out of my life 15. Energy! 16. To have healthy organs 17. To grow old in the best health possible! Quotes to help me through... * The first three days are the hardest. * A drink of lemonade will remove the hunger. (This really works) * Remind yourself, when hungry/craving... "It is cleanse time right now." * Five minutes is all it takes to pass the craving * When I get weak, I just think: "This is ONLY 10 days out of my WHOLE life, come on, you can sacrifice 10 measely days!!!" * I try to visualize the junk that comes out of me and knowing that I will be thoroughly washing all this build-up away, keeps me going.
