Have a headache.
Maybe I am coming down with something.
It is the second night of Sukkot,
one of the three main harvest festivals
within the Jewish Tradition.
I have been feeling various emotions
the last numbers of hours, thankful
for the support I will be having tomorrow
at our first Soilmates Sacred Circle from
housemate Scott, who will lead a relaxation
meditation at the beginning of the one hour circle.
Angel cannot get the day off work.
Anna has made plans to go elsewhere.
Sandra and Stan are coming down with something
and they will not be here.
Counting heads of support at home.
Feeling into what I have co-created here at home
as far as support and being on the same page.
Just spent a couple hours cleaning some things.
Did some laundry earlier in the day.
Hung it on the line.
Cleaned out the crock pot that was stinky.
I did not take time to do that before I left
for Yom Kippur north.
Cleaned out a basket--Kathy's basket
with some old degrading fruits left on the back
porch outside my bedroom.
Sorry Kathy--I tried tro clean it as best as I can.
Maybe I will buy you a new basket.
Going through bags...
bags...plastic bags in the EG Mobile,
tossing out old flowers, not fully utilized
that were in a can in the front seat.
Questioning how many people will come
tomorrow. Have a few RSVP's. I asked
people to call.
Surveyed the worms...not too many in the main
container...not much for them to eat.
Lots of worm castings in there.
Cleaning. Cleaning out.
Brought in my clothes still in the Van
from my trip.
Some rotting food left unconscious.
Found one bag with some figs that had ripened
perfectly and were hard the other day when
I bought them from the WLA Whole Foods store.
Ah! relaxing, sitting on the edge of the EG Mobile,
still some glimmers of light.
Eating figs. Eating figs. This feels good.
Having some uplifting ideas that it doesn't matter
how mahy people come tomorrow.
Sitting. Sitting on the side of the EG Mobile,
looking at the front wild garden.
Who am I doing this for tomorrow?
I want to honor the trees.
I want to give a gesture of New Beginning
and Harvesting.
Various ways to go.
IF some kids show up, we will harvest
the rest of the Job's Tears.
Then, we will go to the worm area,
and work together to clean up there a bit.
Maybe make a fresh rack container
of little pots with new soil for Pacific Symposium.
Sitting. Sitting. Taking time to sit.
under the canopy of trees in the back near
the massage table.
Sukkot! This is the time when people eat outside
for a week. I look up. I am under a canopy of natural
trees, a natural Succah, hut.
The theme of the Soilmates Sacred Circle will be
Declaring Peace. What do we each have to do
to make Peace with Mother Earth?
The table is filled with Olives that have falling
onto the table where we will eat the Vegetarian Potluck
5-6.
I know one person who is coming for sure,
Kat. She will be here at 12 to help prepare some
food that I will get from the FM in the morning.
Olives. Olives. Fallen Olives...Olives...
The Peace branch...Olives...the Tree
for extending Peace.
No need to feel shame about all
that is in disarray here and now.
This is the way it is now, and in between
the stagnant human energies
the garden offers much to enjoy.
The garden and I will have our first
Soilmates Sacred Circle,
and other two leggeds
are invited.
