Kiss Organic Goodbye!
Please take time to make this
phone call and email.
If this passes, we will have
GMO's in California. GMO's
and organic seeds can not co-exist.
IF this bill passes in California on
June 28, 2006, It takes California
in the direction of numbers of other states
that now prevent local communities
from outlawing GMO's.
This Law is inspired by Mansanto et al,
and has already passed in numbers of states.
The Monsanto reaction was motivated by our friends in Mendocino
County a number of years ago who showed
that The People can band together and with
the proper tools, defeat big money.
The Video "The Future of Food," was instrumental
in helping Mendocino become the first County
in the Nation to outlaw GMO's.
Please see this Video to understand
the situation. Free Trailer to view:

Monsanto did not like people coming together
to make local laws that stop GMO's.
This Law that comes up on the 28th is their response.

GE Crop Acion Alert:
Local Democracy Under Threat in California!
On June 28th, the California State Assemby Agriculture
Committee will consider a bill (SB 105) that will take
away local government
authority over seed regulation
If passed, this bill will override restrictions on genetically engineered crops and seeds, as well as all other local regulations of seeds.
In 2005, a groundswell of organizational and citizen response stopped the
California preemtion attempts--we need your help to prevent the passage
of this bill once and for all.
Your Voice can help protect the democratic rights of local California communitiies
and citizens (this means you, your family and frineds)
in the absense of adequate state and federal regulation of genetically engineered crops.
