Nectarine Blossoms
Have I the courage to take off
my shoes, to let my feet feel
mud, to focus on the petals
of the nectarine blossom?
The world may never be the same.

Unusual hard rains a lot of the night.
This is likely one of the last days
that I will have a chance to take out
my camera and go make love with the
petals on the Nectarine Tree.
So what are the Flower Essence properties
that go with the Nectarine Petals.
Soft pink, some white.
Do you want this in your body?
Will you be open as a flower to take
in the essence of this gift from Mother Earth?
Can you handle it?
Are you man or woman enough
to allow such close nature contact?
Where is your Nectarine tree?
Why are you living where you do?
Have you no earth to grow a tree
to see
in Spring the changes
of the season
and know for real Winter wants
to leave your life?
How many blossoms feel
because I was too busy to go out there
yesterday, or the day before?
How many weeds are in the tiny little patch
where the lettuce seeds were planted?

securing the old,
and opening up space for the new to be
