Winter-Day 3
This is Day 3 of Winter
and I will clean and clear more
and do some things that bring me happiness.

Some people say that Autumn is countdown for Winter,
and that Winter is the New Beginning.
I know there are a lot of things in Autumn that I did not do this year.
Toward the end of hte Fall season, I was running on empty.
The most significant thing I did, when my batteries
were feeling close to empty, was spend some very
meaningful loving days with my closest friend.
This exchange lifted both of us in many ways.
Other than that, I felt earlier in the season that I was
winding down and going against the grain by forcing
myself to create events in public when I had not really
recovered from my Summer Exertions of output.
I know that living a more balanced life in all four seasons
is a key. Daily rituals, things I do every day, such as keeping
up with records, daily watering, some movement physically,
taking time to prepare and clean up meals, are all meaningful ways
to stay in touch with my inner soul's journey.
On day two of Winter, a friend came over and helped me
clear the path to the canyon in back of the Enchanted Garden.
I thought of it as a birth canal. I felt I was coming out somehow
in clearing the way. On the way there, in slowing down, we discovered
a new kind of guava tree that was giving fruit in our backyard.
Can you imagine having a tree growing right in your backyard,
and you were going so unconscious that you never noticed
the gifts?
Isn't that the way of our fast-pased life?
We have so many simple things to enjoy,
such as finding meaning in helping one other person be
uplifted.

Of course, these are days when we are asked to return home.
For me, that means giving this day to more clearing in my own
bedroom and office.
We are having a very dry season here in San Diego, and so
I carried a gallon of water down to the canyon and gave it to
a White Sage plant before picking a few leaves that will
help reestablish one of the Altars in my room.
Cleaning up: This is so hard of me.
I start losing my Vision and really appreciate when friends
call in, or I have friends to call out to reach.
So, I am going to put on some good music,
take a shower now, and see what I can do today
to reestablish my foundation for a good new year.
Thanks for being with me today.
I'm with you too in your healing life.
