Thou Shall Not Steal...
I confess
I once stole a
harmonica and a lizard.
Forgiveness is possible.

when I stole things in this life.
Generally, there is a high price
when we steal.
It is actually one of the 10 commandments.
The Ten Commandments are ways
to Make Love, and Thou Shall not Steal
is one of these ways.
Once when I was a kid,
I was at the park. Some other kids had an
lovely large Alligator Lizard they captured.
They put it in a jar. I do not know how i did this
or why, but i really wanted that Lizard.
I stole it and took it home.
I imagine I wanted to make a pet out of it.
The first time I opened the jar to take it out,
the lizard was mad as hell.
It bit me in the in the soft skin area of my right
hand between my thumb and first forefinger
and would not let go until it decided that
I had learned my lesson. Then it jumped
down and ran under the house.
Another time, I wanted a harmonica badly. I stoled one
from the corner Thrifty Drug Store. It bothered
me for months, until I stole it back into the store.
I imagine my desire to want to play music
overshadowed my ethics, or that my life
was so bad that stealing was a way to get even.
Goldman, the looter.
In about 18 days we start the Enchanted Garden
New Year Celebration and ten days after that
we have what the Jewish folks call Yom Kippur
at the tail end of the Days of Awe.
We can ask three times for forgiveness
to clean our karma and get a fresh start.
I'm have to remember to ask Thrifty for Forgiveness
Some of us do not think of making copies of
other people creative works as stealing. We make up
reasons why it is O.K. for an Artist to spend thousands of
hours and hard work making a CD
and then we imagine it is O.K. to have our friends make a
copy for us. Some of us imagine it is O.K. to steal computer programs.
After all, they are committing High Way Robbery in the first place
charging so much, right?
Isn't it fair to get back at them through our stealing?
Something to think about.
At the Whole Being Weekend, I was stunning to see
some incredible acts of Unlooting.
The Whole Being Weekend is a glimpse of Heaven on Earth.

Around the Registration table
there were boxes of left open of T shifts, and very expensive electrical
equipment and tools. No one was watching over them.
In this atmosphere of love and acceptance and
having all our needs met, every one Trusted each other
that there possessions were safe.
Why steal, when everything you need is freely offered
and available or shared use, and Love Thy Neighbor
as Thyself
is the rule more than the exception?
I am actually going to be putting up some of my photos
soon on line. I will let people know that this is how i make
my living. Through photography, that i offer or sale,
others can ensure that Your Enchanted Gardener
is in the world.
I would like to let people know that my photos are copyright
protected by a higher authority. If anyone wants to use one
of my photos, they can ask first. I do not mind people
enjoying my art on line, but if they are going to download it
or print it, I would like compensation. Everyone has something
of vaue to trade, or money to give.
The Scorpio vindictive part of me says....
"This photo is copyright protected by a higher authority.
Please be aware that stealing this photo will cause your
sex organs to become infected with a computer
virus that will prevent this photo from giving you pleasure for
the length of time you keep this stolen property."
Ouch!!!
