Been working on this Conference
full time for five weeks it seems.
Now its time to receive back.
I used the word "it's" but could not figure
out which way to spell it.
I wanted the possessive its.
So I dialed the Dancer, one of my X's
and very best friends. She is a talented
editor with a professional flair that
is sometimes exasperating.
I can always count on her.
Her availability is very healing.
She sounded like she had a sore throat.
She told me i woke her up from an hour nap.
"Just a quickie!" I said.
"Lettuce so fresh it doesn't know it's been picked yet.
Come for lunch 1:23 PM, Aug 5-6-7.
It only took her a second to give me a grammar
lesson, no make wrong, just the grammar
and on life goes.
Catch up later I say,
letting her go back to bed if she wants.
"I love you!" she says.
Took about 1 second for her to say it
but an hour later I am still feeling the juice
from her words
as I plod along
to make a deadline.
