I am deeply moved
by the convergence of
Earth Wisdom Keepers
I met at the 90th Birthday Party
of Peter Dukich, the master
BioDynamic Gardener and
Compost Maker.
I feel compelled to help
through spreading the word
and practicing what they know.

Earth Wisdom Keepers who are
still among us.
I am deeply moved.
When I imagine what I would like
to leave to the earth,
what I would like to contribute
in the next twenty years,
I feel a mandate
to help spread the word
about the Wisdom that the gardeners
and farmers I mee here carry.
These are the gardeners who know
and carry Earth Wisdom.
These are the Last generation of Holders
of the Earth Wisdom that I know--
the Wisdom of how to turn soll into God's
Gift of Health.
If you and I do not learn some of the things
that they know, our health will continue to become
weaker and weaker and our immune system
less and less vital.
It is so clear.
I see the image of Stephen Spankler
holding the forgotten fruits of Eden.
I see a man named Lawrence Hershman
who is growing tons of powerful foods
without--WITHOUT--water simply because
he understands the laws of the earth
and how food can grow when we are in
harmony with the Timing and power of the Bottomland.
We can make more bottomline in your own backyards.
I am hearing the voice of a woman
Carol Thompson and how she has taught
and helped "troubled" youth by teaching them
about Bio-dynamic gardening. I am listening
as she tells me she is uprooted and has just
moved to a new part of the country where she
is looking for a job. She has a job,
and the earth asks that she do it.
I am hearing story after story of men and women
who were helped by this man Peter who took them
in and guided them in the wisdom of simple
ways of the earth. I am seeing how they have prospered.
I am reflecting on the life of this man
Peter who has spend his entire life working with the
soil and pouring out love to inspire others to do the same.
I am seeing him in my minds eye
spending his final elder years sifting compost
day after day into small bottles he calls Peter's Powder.
Why would a man do this--
a man so committed to the saving of our
Mother Earth and loving the Little Child
if these were not vitally important???
I hear Lawrence speak of the Soil as the body of Christ
and know he is on to something.
Do you not want to know these fruits
that are not available commercially???
Do you not want to partake of the gifts of God
that God has given you, but our commercial system
of farming is denyiing you?
I want to know these men and women more as friends.
I want the lonliness for community that I often fill
to be filled by these Wisdom Keepers who are my community.
I want to continue to rise up to know what they know
that I might help others where I live.
This is what I am here for.
This is the Life I want to live.
I am clear that 80% of the remedies
and valuable time we are spending
attempting to regain our health
and doing liver flushes and cleanses,
and struggling to eat this diet and that
and lose weight, and gain weight,
and build our immune system
would be improved vitally if we each
had an authentic earth connection
under foot.
There are seed sitting in packages right now
that are fading from view because you and I
have no sense of the value we might gain
from planting them.
We have no sense of the GIFT Mother Earth
and God has given us in her natural technology
of seeds, and plants, and soil that are right
here waiting for us to discover them.
There are places right now where it is illegal to plant
seeds--such as Irag--
Someone knows the power in Seeds and Nature
and they are doing all they can to take this power away
from you, and the deepest saddest thing, is that
most of us do not even know what we are losing.
