You may have previously heard that there are seven chakras, or centers of focused energy, located in the body. You may not realize it, but you actually have interactions with all of your chakras on a daily basis. There are chakras which are more connected to your physical form, such as the root chakra. However, there are also ones, such as the crown chakra, which are connected to your spirit more than your body.

Whether you are dealing with a chakra that is mostly connected to your body or one which is more in tune with your spirit, they all can have an affect on your mood. When your chakras are aligned, you will feel more balanced and content in a number of ways. However, when your chakras are not balanced, you will feel “off” in one way or another. You might struggle with certain mental health concerns, such as depression, or you may feel as though you’re not able to connect with others on an intuitive and empathic level.

Thus, it can be seen that it's important to keep your chakras balanced. If you are feeling as though your emotions are not in control, or if you are simply feeling not in touch with your mind, body, and spirit, it can be helpful to reach out to a Denver Psychic in your area. They can work with you to help get your chakras aligned and will help you feel much more like a complete, confident version of yourself. In this article, we will discuss the seven chakras in the body and the ways in which they can affect your mood depending on whether or not they are aligned.

What is a Chakra?

The first thing that’s important to understand is exactly what a chakra is. A chakra is essentially an energy center in the body which works to regulate certain physical, emotional, and spiritual processes. Each chakra is specifically connected to different parts of the body and spirit.

In addition, each chakra can have a different effect on your mood, depending on whether or not it is in alignment with your body, mind, and spirit. If your chakras are not balanced, you may feel very out of sorts and may even experience physical symptoms. However, when your chakras are aligned, you may feel a sense of confidence, clarity, and overall well being.

In order to balance your chakras, it’s first important to begin noticing them on a daily basis. Take a moment to notice when you’re down, frustrated, not communicating well, or simply not feeling well. Ask yourself which of the following chakras this feeling might be connected to. Many people also utilize breathing exercises, meditation, and yoga to re-align their chakras once they’ve started getting in touch with them.

The Seven Chakras and Your Mood

Root Chakra

The root chakra is located at the base of your spine and is also associated with your pelvis.  Think of this one as your grounding chakra. It works to make sure that your whole self is safe and secure. It’s related to your sense of security, and when it is functioning properly, it can supply you with the necessary mental attitude to feel safe and secure.

If it is unbalanced, you may feel unstable or not grounded. In addition, this chakra is linked to your ability to control your emotions, so if it is out of balance, you may feel frustrated or have poor self esteem.

Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra is one which is situated between your pelvis and your belly button. This chakra has control over your creativity and your sexuality. When this chakra is aligned, you will feel energized, sensual, creative, and passionate.

However, if this chakra is not balanced, you may find yourself irritable or lacking in energy or creativity. This can be one of the most significant chakras when it comes to your overall mood, as well as your intuition, so it’s important to keep a close eye on your sacral chakra and work to keep it aligned in order to keep yourself feeling vital.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra is one which moves up the trunk of your body and is located between your belly button and the bottom of your rib cage. This chakra has to do with your sense of self--essentially, your self esteem.

When this chakra is out of balance, you may feel as though you’re dealing with mental health issues such as depression or anxiety. You may also feel angry or frustrated. Thus, it’s important to keep the solar plexus chakra balanced in order to ensure that you have a positive self image and don’t find yourself overly frustrated or stressed out by your daily life.

Heart Chakra

Next is your heart chakra, and as can be seen from the name, it is situated right by your heart. As you might assume, the heart chakra deals with very deep emotions including love and trust. In addition, you’ll be much more able to feel love, compassion, and empathy when this chakra is aligned. This can activate a very contagious feeling of wellbeing and care in all of your interpersonal interactions.

When your heart chakra is out of balance, you may feel as though you can't trust people or may even have feelings of fear or jealousy. You will feel less secure in your emotional health when your heart chakra is not aligned, so it’s important to make sure that you are taking the time to pay special attention to this one.

Throat Chakra

Next, there is the throat chakra, which is located right at the base of your throat. The throat chakra is closely linked with your ability to communicate and express yourself clearly. Thus, when it's open and aligned, you will be much more able to communicate with others and express your truth in a clear and productive manner.

When your throat chakra is not aligned, you may not be able to express your thoughts and feelings and may find yourself getting frustrated. If you’re not having productive conversations or feel as though your emotions are getting in the way, you may want to look at the throat chakra.

This chakra is physically linked to your thyroid, throat, and jaw. However, the last three chakras, starting with the throat, are considered specifically spiritual chakras, as they manifest in a purely spiritual way, as opposed to the physical manner in which the previous chakras can often manifest. Thus, these last three chakras are much more linked with your spirit than your body.

Third Eye Chakra

Your third eye chakra is located in the center of your forehead, between your eyebrows. The third eye provides you with clarity in perception. It is reported to be your link between yourself and the outside world. Your head and pituitary gland are also ruled by this chakra.

Again, this is a very spiritual chakra, and when it is out of balance, you may feel very out of sorts. You might have a hard time thinking clearly or seeing things as they really are. In addition, you might find yourself being timid or not assertive. In addition, you might have issues with self-esteem or depression. However, when it is in line with your body and spirit, you might feel as though you are experiencing a sense of freedom and clarity. You will be flushed with natural intelligence and intuition. Thus, in order to ensure that you’re seeing the things in your life clearly, it’s extremely important to keep your third eye in balance.

Crown Chakra

Finally, your seventh chakra is known as the crown chakra. It is situated right on the crown of your head, as the name suggests. Again, this is a very spiritual chakra. It is linked to your sense of enlightenment and your ability to see yourself within the context of the universe. It is deeply linked to your own personal spirituality, and when it is aligned, you will feel a sense of dynamic energy and interconnectedness with the universe.

However, when the crown chakra is out of alignment, you may feel very isolated and alone. You might not see where you fit in the bigger picture. Thus, in order to keep everything in perspective and ensure you’re taking advantage of your natural connection with the world around you, you must make sure to keep your crown chakra balanced.

Conclusion

Thus, it can be seen that your seven chakras do indeed have a significant impact on your mood. If you are feeling unbalanced or as if your mood is unstable, it’s important to find someone who specializes in chakras and energy in general in order to make sure that you are working to become more aligned. Reach out to a well-established psychic near you in order to discuss the different options for getting in touch with your chakras and balancing them so that you can feel like your best self.
