Treatment of Mouth Cancer

Considering the stage, location and patient’s physical health, how it's going to be treated is decided. Oral Cancer Treatment involves combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

For instance,Small cancer are cured by either radiotherapy(X-Rays Treatment) or surgery. Radiotherapy is considered to be safer, it only causes dry mouth.

Large cancer requires surgery and radiation both and if patient can tolerate more, cisplatin or cetuximab are added to radiation treatment to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
