Vireo Systems produces the Anti-Inflammatory that I have been using for about a decade.
AminoActiv is a substitute for Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is hard on the liver. AminoActiv is non toxic and I do not experience side effects.
I find that the older I get, the more I need to support my mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell. AminoActiv, not lonely relieves the knee and hip pain I have been having of late, but it also shifts my energy.
The company that produces AminoActiv is now producing a number of products for Women.

I do not work for this company or have any ties at all. I wish. This product is not cheap, but if you cannot tolerate NSAIDS, it might be worth giving it a try. I do not have any severe issues, but I do have some mild arthritis, occasional plantar fasciitis, and the usual aches and pains of the over-50 crowd. I decided to give this a try because the soreness in my hands, especially, was bothering me. I figured if it worked, I could stop taking NSAIDS altogether, except for acute pain, with the bonus of knowing that it was helping to reduce inflammation systemically in my body, something that is known to be the root cause of many problems, including dental. So I tried it, and within 24 hours, my hand discomfort was gone. I took it for several months, and when I saw it was going to run out, I decided not to order more and see how I felt without taking it. It's now a couple of weeks since I stopped, and today I ordered more (from their website - they offer shipping and volume discounts) because the discomfort in my hands has crept back, and I just don't feel as well as I did while taking it. So there you go. I'm not telling you it will work for you, especially if you have severe pain, but even then, I think it can help systemically, and over time you might be able to reduce pain medication. I took two capsules twice a day for a while, then one capsule twice a day. You can take more if you need more, and each person has to adjust for his/her own body. If you had mild issues with an inflammatory condition and cannot tolerate NSAIDS, you might find this is exactly what you need. If you are concerned about inflammation, even though it does not cause you any symptoms, this is also a great choice, but since you likely won't notice a difference, it's a leap of faith for that. It's certainly far better than any alternatives I've seen before, and I'm going to continue taking it.

My Mom & I were at a Jeanne Robertson show that was sponsored by AminoActiv. Mark Faulkner, the president of Vireo Systems, was there and we got to talking about this new product. It sounded good! Mark gave us some AminoActiv samples to try at home, we used it and liked it. In fact, I ordered some more right away and I’ve been using it ever since for lower back, knee & hip pain due to grooming dogs, torn knee cartilage and arthritis in my hip! I rub the pain relief cream on my back, knee & hip 2-3 times a day! After shaking the tube to get the healing crystals mixed up, I rub the cream into the skin until the crystals are gone completely! Along with that I take 2 capsules 2 times a day and 3 at night before I go to bed! I love this stuff….it promotes natural healing and it’s helping with all of my aches & pains. The best thing is “IT WORKS”….along with being a safe alternative to ibuprofen and no known side effects or drug interactions! Okay ladies: I know we all get super squirmy when we have to discuss our hoo-ha’s but I just wanna throw this out there because I read all the reviews before I tried this product and I want to give my honest feedback so you, too, can make an informed decision.
First, let me preface my review with this - I have a medical background and I am a Skeptic with a capital S. Seriously, if I had a Big S on my extra wide elastic waste-cinching band, it would stand for Super Skeptic. Well, then, it would have to be SS, I guess...
Second, I researched this product before trying it. I read all the clinicals I could get my hands on (conveniently located in one place on pH-D’s website, http://ph-defense.com) and called my OBGYN for advice. There was no way I was sticking something foreign and untested in my special lady part before I knew for sure it would not hurt my downtown fun land.
The research is founded and true and I discovered there are many in the esteemed medical community that recommend boric acid as an alternative to harsh antibiotics. And it makes sense. Antibiotics kill off the healthy bacteria in the vah-jay-jay lending the underpants arena to overgrowth of bad bacteria. This results in all sorts of nasty unwanted side effects, i.e. yeast infections, additional bacterial infections, etc. Just the stuff you were trying to either get rid of or avoid in the first place!
I have had an increase in bacterial infections since I gave birth to my daughter and during breastfeeding following each horizontal tango with my hubby. It seemed to happen after every encounter and my OBGYN explained how normal this is following pregnancy. She would automatically write a prescription for one of the strongest antibiotics out there, Metronidazole (Flagyl), and would even give me unlimited refills. This was so routine for her. The sad part about it though, most women end up with a gross yeast infection following taking Flagyl. Even though this has not been my experience, I know overuse of antibiotics is terrible for your body and its healthy bacteria so I started researching any alternatives to antibiotics. Plus, Flagyl has a terrible aftertaste and you can’t have a nice glass of red for 10 frickin’ days. I’m jus’ sayin.'
Boric acid is the ONLY alternative that works to strong antibiotics for recurring yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. It is recommended by the medical community, but because there has not been a well-marketed or easy solution for administering or buying boric acid capsules, most doctors don’t even mention this great natural remedy. I read personal accounts of women buying their own boric acid powder and putting together capsules at home. The issue with this solution is something I didn’t want to mess with, namely the powder is toxic and irritating to inhale and you must wear gloves and a mask in order to deal with the powder form of boric acid. I searched everywhere for a ready-made dissolving capsule and came across only one available product: pH-D Feminine Health Support.
pH-D is amazing. If I could rent the Pope Mobile and a PA system, I would drive around shouting how happy I am with this product. The supplement cleared up my BV in 48 hours. I felt relief within 24 hours. Usually, Flagyl takes the full 7 days for any kind of symptom relief. This stuff is the real deal Holyfield.
I would also recommend using pH-D prophylactically after each trip with your significant other to the honey pot. This is what I do every time and I have not had another bacterial infection since I started using pH-D. The science is there and it works.
I am so ecstatic my sex life is back. And I know my hubs couldn’t be happier!
I plan on recommending this product to my OBGYN so she knows this is available for her other patients.

I have never posted a review on Amazon before but I really want to share how amazing this stuff is. I want to share my story with all of you because I know there are probably so many other women out there who have the same issues as me, and obviously it's not an easy thing to discuss with someone who isn't your doctor.
Last July I had a really bad case of strep throat, and had to take a 10-day course of Amoxicilin. By day 2 I already had the worst yeast infection of my life. I took diflucans with it but since the antibiotics were still killing the bacteria it kept coming back. It was so bad that I stopped the treatment 2 days before it was over because I was so miserable. Ever since then, I have had a yeast infection (some doctors said accompanied by BV a few of the times even though I had no smell - so I think that was misdiagnosed but who knows) about 2 -3 times a month. Listen to me... TWO TO THREE TIMES A MONTH !!!!!! Every time I had sex this would happen, and sometimes it would just happen on it's own. Needless to say it made me feel disgusting and killed any desire for intimacy. As soon as I would get rid of it, it came back. Every time I went to the doctor, it was the same thing: take some Diflucan, don't use scented soap down there, etc. Nothing helped.
Things I have tried to rid myself of this problem:
- Unscented soaps
- Diflucan
- Monistat (ovule and creams)
- Daily probiotics - taken orally and occasionally vaginally as recommended by other Amazon reviewers
- Had my BF at the time take Diflucan in case we were passing it back and forth
- Apple cider vinegar baths
- Hydrogen peroxide/water douches (when they said it was BV)
- Cut out sugar and bread from my diet
- Rinse/wash outside of myself after sex
- Vagisil cleansing wipes
- ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN EVER THINK OF EVER.
This was my last resort option. It was so bad to the point where I was starting to get depressed as this has been going on for almost a year now. I read all the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. I've been using them preventatively, so I've been inserting one up there once a week to keep PH balanced (usually Sunday nights before bed). It's been one month and I've had NOOOO issues down there!!!! Not only is there no itchiness, but discharge is finally clear and healthy, instead of thick which its been even when I didn't have an infection. I've had sex too and finally feel back to my old self. I seriously want to cry right now because this saved my life.
YES THEY ARE EXPENSIVE BUT ITS THE BEST MONEY YOU WILL EVER SPEND IF YOU HAVE THESE ISSUES. 25 dollars for a bottle for 14 pills.... so if you do it like me and insert 1 pill a week, thats about $25 for ~3 months of no problems, less than a mani-pedi.... BUT IT TODAY!!

I just want to take a moment to say i've had problems for years with chronic yeast infections and nothing i mean nothing would work. I have never left feedback on a product before. So let me just say this product is god sent. I'm 33yrs old and never had a yeast infection in my life so I was surprised when I got one from HELL! after taking antibiotics for Strep Throat. I took a vow to NEVER EVER take amoxicillin or any antibiotic again if it's not life threatening. So after 10 days I finished the antibotics and everything was fine. Then 2 weeks later out of the blue I had a mild itch and knew it was from the antibiotics so I didn't treat it right away. Bad idea, I was in so much agony by the next day I thought my vagina was going to fall off. I finally broke down and bought some Monistate 7 and it gave me relief by the 3rd day but wouldn't go away. I didn't have any discharge or odor so I was confused as to why I'm suffering this bad when I always had good vagina health. Needless to say I was in hell for weeks. I went to the doctors and got prescribed 3 doses of fluconazole, it did nothing for the itch so I got depressed. I realize I had to replenish my gut health so bought the highest probiotics and was taking 10-15 capsules a day. Then I did the home remdies and the vinegar baths and Yogurt inserts helped sooth the itch but it was still there.
