BIO NOTE: LESLIE GOLDMAN
This montage of photos was generated automatically on Facebook. The woman in the upper right is Dr. Judith Larkin Reno, whose memorial was held the day I left San Diego on my journey to the National Heirloom Expo. I expressed that her soul was my companion on the journey northward. Jaccie Phillips is shown to the right of me.
“I’ve been waiting half my life to tell someone about Leslie Goldman. Always figured I’d wait for some desperate moment. Now it’s here.” Bob Baker, writing in the Los Angeles Times Magazine

I met Dr. Liz Lipski at the Scripps Natural Supplement Conference 2015. We planted dreams. She joined The Enchanted Garden Club . She wrote:
‘Someone once told me that dreams were for children. Aren’t we all children? Leslie’s work connects people to envision fully,
to embrace what’s possible, and to walk forward in hope. He is inspiring and brings us back to what’s essential, and what is uniquely essential.
I would love to see him working in hospitals, schools and widely, to plant seeds of hope and dreams like Johnny Appleseed."
Dave Kaiser, the "Gaby Hayes of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company," is shown in the driver's seat of the Enchanted Garden Mobile, in this photo, which we use on the Plant Your Dream seed packets.
For more than 30 years, Leslie Goldman has planted dreams, on his own and with others, to "ground" The Enchanted Garden, a name he gives for our renewed Earth.
In 2015, Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company issued his “Plant Your Dream Seeds" in a packet that is freely given away to teach the importance of growing heirloom seeds. Many heirloom seeds are original seeds of indigenous people and in growing them, we keep alive biodiversity of culture. Leslie considers growing original seeds as a way to reveal our own Sacred Seed Nature. Heirloom Seeds carry forward stories - and in growing them, we keep alive the story inherent in the seed.
Leslie travels from San Diego to Northern California each year in a 1968 VW van on a pilgrimage dubbed, You can read more about his journey on the Facebook page for that #PlantYourDreamBlog Campaign.
"The Enchanted Garden Mobile’s Journey to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds."
"How Fast Can a Dream Grow?” he asks. “As Fast as a Blade of Grass!”

THANK YOU, ADRIENNE PRINCE
I want to extend my appreciation to Adrienne Prince for editing this #PlantYourDreamBlog.
She writes, "One of Leslie Goldman's primary ways of connecting with the public for the last 20 years has been to invite passersby and thought leaders at public events to “plant a dream.” It's a wish-craft exercise, in which the wisher imbues a seed of kamut® (ancient wheatgrass) with the intention of their seed-dream, and then they plant it into soil, with the seed-dreams of others at that event. Some people understand this bit of old-time inspired Earth-magic immediately – children of course tend to understand it automatically - but if time allows or if it's needed to give the intention more gravitas, Leslie has a poem that they can read aloud while they're holding their seed in their hand."
