#MyPetCelebritySquash. A member of the
Gete Okosame Tribe, this squash is said to have seeds, according to one Legend, that were discovered in an Urn that were buried for 800 years.
When planted, the seeds grew.
Other stories say the seeds were shepherded by an Indigenous Tribe that produced them year after year.
I met this amazing squash at the 2016 National Heirloom Expo in Santa Rosa where it was on display along with many other varieties, including some featured in a Pyramid Tower of Squash, a feature of the yearly show.

We each live in different worlds. This is compounded by a new reality that what we call the media also sees things through their own eyes. What some sea as a peaceful gathering of #waterprotectors others see as riotous protesters breaking laws. Please remember that law-enforcement agents are trained to enforce laws that they imagine are being broken. Where some of us see a another picture of 500 years of indigenous rights being broken they on the other side, have no perception until they are educated what another truth is. One of my favorite all-time quotes is, to paraphrase Thireau. oh to see you through each others eyes for an instant would be a miracle.
No more injuries please. The earth bats last, and Guy McPherson says and she will clean up this mess. Somewhere deep inside we are all souls, even though some of us may not realize it. We are all playing our part as best we know on the journey of evolution, even those in riot gear. Please be safe. We need you.
