I think I have an interesting take on what causes Morgellons
My bartonella henselae readings on a lab test seem to indicate that this bacteria is related to Morgellons and LYME disease.
Date: 12/5/2014 11:39:38 PM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 9399 times I am not the first to see this connection, but I think there is a connection between certain co-infections with Lyme, and Morgellons.
Ten percent of the subjects that the CDC used in their work on Morgellons showed that they also had LYME disease. I recently got my lab test for co-infections and discovered I have a reading of 80 on Bartonella henselae.IgG (under 20 is negativbe and over 160 indicates active infection.) My reading indicates, according to the report that "For a reading between 40 to 160, patients with previously high titers, such titers may indicate resolving infection."
My morgellons symptoms DO NOT include leisons, but I did have a huge number of lumps under my skin which contained all the usual things that morgellons people describe. Different granules, black spots, etc. I was able to remove a lot of these spots by rubbing them with bath oil and oat bran (used as an exfoliant).I also find very small "hairs" on my skin. My natural hair is light red, so black "hairs" don't seem to be part of me. I got a lot better over this past summer, but seem to be getting worse this fall. However I would describe myself as fifty percent better. (Just as I am at a reading of 80 which is 50% of 160.)
Now I read a blog which relates Morgellons to bartonella henselae and I was impressed with the research and the logic. I know I cannot name the blog, but it related to a protocol for Lyme and Morgellons.
I checked wikipedia and their last posting on bartonells henselae showed that there is a disease that AIDS patients get that has the same type of leisons as found in bartonella henselae. Compare the look of these leisons to the leisons for morgellons. They are at the VERY BOTTOM of the wikipedia page.
I think that if enough of us who had BOTH LYME and MORGELLONS posted our readings for bartonella henselae we could show that testing positive for this bacteria is VERY related to lyme and should be an area of future research.
We need research for Morgellons. Can you add to the research by posting your readings for this bacteria?
Do you have LYME and itchy skin... you don't have to have leisons to have morgellons. The "hairs" can sometimes be only seen by magnification. There are articles on this... the uk morgellons group mentions that there are many symptoms. I was impressed with their pictures showing hairs implanting in skin.
Let's talk!
