I believe that classical economists they had an insight that good have Value in a kind of physical sense in that they have labor embedded in them. So, we can take that a bit farther and say there is not only human labor embedded in particular things, but is embedded in species.
Animals and plants as they interact with us, their genetics changed as we selected for various qualities. That is embedded labor. On the other hand,
though in this current society that we live in, the basis of value is not in embedded labor in particular things, or even, historically in species, but finds its basis in what is socially necessary.
What is socially necessary for this society we live in?
This makes me think of the work of Raj Patel, The Value of Nothing.
Master Lopez Said:
The primary goal that all labor is directed toward now is the creation of profit. The creation of profit is sometimes at odds with value in embedded labor.
Leslie: Please explain further what you mean by embedded Labor?
Master Lopez says: to be clear something only has value if it is useful. Something is valuable if it is biologically necessary. That holds true of any human society. There are also things, value relative to particular society.
In that sense, something can have useful physical qualities.
Whether it can be used to create profit is often in conflict with value in the absolute sense, what is biologically necessary.
for example: genetic diversity is biologically necessary. but genetic modification is necessary for creating profits.
Defenders of gmo often rely on arguments that depend on equivocation, two things, two senses of a work that ought to be distinguished are made to seem as thought they are the same thing.
either out of a desire to intentionally deceive or confusion on the part of the person expressing the thought.
Leslie said: If we have lost the beat, we have lost a lot.
The old definition of value relative to our society, that is is only valuable if it can create profit, is tied to the dead money in my pencils.

So, my understanding is that I have been very much interested in practical truth. I have encountered in learning some things that are very true, but the consequences or conclusion…
A thesis is different less extensive, less ambitious…
TRUTH
Before I was thinking that this way of expressing oneself about truth is true, but now I am thinking is there a way of expressing oneself that is more true.
