Proclaiming this a Holy Day
I proclaim this day a Holy Day.
I am in prayer this morning asking forgiveness
for the errors of my ways.
This is a day when the old can be left behind.
I want to plant a new seed.
I want to be embraced and embrace community.
If I am invited not to speak up,
let me on this day at least hear my own voice.
I want to bear witness
to myself clearing things.
I want to clear things before they are swept away by the force of
the old dying.
I want to witness to the fears I have challenged
and won.
I want this cycle of The Birth of the Universe that began
with Ten Days of Awe to be a transformation for me.
I do not want to live in the same old, same old.
I will slow down this morning.
I will find the compassion in myself to go
easier on myself.
I want to find meaning in the things I do
this morning that may mean nothing to anyone,
but mean a lot to this universe.
