This is a photo of the EG Mobile, my 68 VW Van, arriving at the Frey Biodynamic Winery and farm September 13, 2013Every step of the journey was confronting of fear. For months, I did not trust the EG Mobile could make it up to the National Heirloom Expo. I was scheduled to take a plane Monday, September 9, but this just did not feel right. I went so far as to mail some of my sacred objects up to Keith Weiner in Fort Bragg. He was scheduled to meet me at the airport. I would have arrived one day before I was scheduled to teach. It felt like this was too little time to get settled.

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, I was doing a brief presentation with the B'nai Horin Community at the Brandeis Bardin campus. I was not clear what I would read all that morning, but finally the inspiration came in the final moments. It was one of my most effective presentations ever. The responses were overwhelmingly positive.

I ended my presentation with Cantor Edward Robin chanting a niggun a musical chant to the words of my main prayer I had prepared for the moment. This was very powerful for the group to hear and for me to deliver. Edward Robin is an extraordinary cantor. We really bonded, and I had asked him to do this chant before hand.

I was already four hours drive from San Diego. I was about six hours from
Petaluma. In visualized crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in the early morning hours.

Last year, when Nadine helped, I was overcome with fear crossing that bridge. Now I was going to attempt it alone.

I drove through the night. I took highway 5. There took three naps at rest stops and kept driving. I trusted my vehicle to get me there.

I made it to Petaluma that morning. I cross two bridges. My Iphone GPS kept sending me in off in strange directions on the Golden Gate Bridge. I backtracked twice and finally pulled off into a gas station.

There was a man there who had lived in the San Francisco all his life. He gave me directions for getting on Highway 101 North.

I simply had to trust. It was a major overcoming to arrive safely.

The challenges did not stop.

I was scheduled to stay at the Mobile 6 Santa Rosa South.

My first night was Friday September 6.

Fall Equinox
8:56 am

It is early morning still September 22, the Fall Equinox of 2013. I need to read a poem today at a gathering.

I want to be received home in my own city. I want to tell the story of my triumphant return to my own city.

It was a triumphsnt return, even if not everything went well on the road.

I set out to be present at the National Heirloom Expo. My assignment was just to get there, after months of health storm that left me questioning my capacity to do what i say i will do. I got there. I led two inspired experiences with adults and yourh. I also made contact with Vadana Shiva and my ally David bronner. I made a new friend in Steven Levine of Vote Hemp, and Art, the horicultural advisor for Baker Creek.

I interacted with a number of kids and inspired excitememt for growing dreams with seeds.

Growing Dreams with Seeds: That would be a good title for a talk next year at the National Heirloom Expo 2014.

My spirit is down

Yesterday at Peace One Day. There were a number of broadcasts.

I had a good morning. I was in a play mode with Nadine, my partner.

I intended to go to a gathering at Wild Willow Farm on Community Living.

I was feeling positive all morning.

There was some thought of an invite to be part of the Peace One Gathering at the World Beat Center.

This was extended a few weeks before I left for my trip. I had this in the back of my mind.

I stopped to text Makada, an old friend, who runs the center long long before I left. She unexpectedly texted back. "Come and Speak."

I figured the only way I could attend both events was to go to the World Beat Center first.

I arrived with Nadine. Makada was in the kitchen. My spirit was with me.

Makada acknowledged that I was here to speak.

There was really no opening.

She kept asking me to be patient. I kept waiting.

I needed to bail out as soon as it looked like there might not be an opening, but I continued to wait.

This was not comfortable, for either of us.

She was absorbed with having quality time with numbers of performers and guests.

I continued to wait.

I finally realized that it was not likely I would have an opportunity to speak.

By the time Nadien and I left, the program at Wild WIllow was to be over, but when we arrived Mathhew was having his last words.

I likely would have been in a different creative state of mind if I had just followed my original plan to go to Wild Willow.

I am sorry that I did not.

Today is the Fall Equinox. I did not sleep well during the night.

I was stressed by how the day came out.

How it came out was my decision.

Today is Farmer's Market day.

I have unmet needs to express.

THIS IS THE POEM I WOULD LIKE TO READ TODAY

At least I will put it on Facebook:

TAKE YOUR DREAM OFF THE SHELF
