I haven't had too much inspiration lately. I knew that the National Heirloom Expo, September 10-11-12 2013 would be a turnaround time for me. My main intention, after months of health storm, was simply to get there.
One of the strongest fresh inspirations that came to me during my 16 day remarkable journey, September 3-September 18, was spending time with Luke Frey, a member of the Frey Family who have made the Frey Biodynamic and Organic winery one of the most inspirational places for me on the earth. The wines speak for themselves. The unique personality of the individual flavors trace to a unique form of care for the land and its grapes called Biodynamic Agriculture.

I trace the philosophical beginnings of the Frey journey to become one of the world's finest biodynamic and organic wine producers to Luke Frey.
During my three-day visit to the Frey Vineyard and Farm, spending time with Luke was a remarkable journey to the core of my own inspiration and hope--Rekindling my own Faith in Nature and Self Healing.
The healing I received was not only through contact with members of the Frey family, it came through having Luke open my eyes to the important role that animals play in the healthy farm life.
To coin a phrase perhaps, Luke is in charge of Research and Development. luke is a master alchemist. He spends meticulous time each day, brushing down the three cows, each with different names, so that they get loving touch.
The cows beam out love from their eyes. They live an idyllic life where they have room to roam the nearby forest and woodland. I learned from Luke that cows are very selective in what they eat, if given choice.
They are instruments of balance, who translate through their milk healthy hormones that can relax our nervous system.
Luke takes time to brush the cows while they are milked through a machine that ensures a hygienic milk. The milk itself goes into making cheeses that are mixes with various herbs, to enhance the human microflora. Other fresh milk is shared with members of the family, who each have individual homes on the more than 1000 acre farm.
I will be working with some of the videos I made.
Here for now are a couple of photos:

LUKE FREY'S BIO FOR THE NATIONAL HEIRLOOM EXPO 2013
Luke Frey introduced Biodynamics to Frey Vineyards, making it the nation’s first certified biodynamic winery in 1996. He maintains the biodynamic farm at the vineyard. Luke and his son Daniel care for the livestock that graze in the vineyard. Using materials from the ranch, Luke makes all of the biodynamic preparations for the farm and vineyard, giving Frey Vineyards the distinction of being one of the few wineries in California to do so. With Luke’s guidance, the ranch has become a biodynamic education site that hosts workshops and conferences.
