People Really Irritate Me Sometimes

When you are dealing with an. illness that is not rapidly diagnosed and or treated by a physician or the usual OTC meds...often times friends and family cannot sympathize or empathize with you. Especially if you have been ill for awhile . They do not understand the lack of energy, the pain, or the strange symptoms you may be experiencing. They may try to cast blame on the meds you take or the games you play (I know of someone who thought the illness was brought on by Magic the Gathering cards because she thinks they are evil lol) Comments are often made that can raise your anxiety ..and in doing so..worsen your symptoms. I try not to discuss my illness with loved ones anymore ..there is no point. I also try and not think about or dwell on my illness, symptoms, cures ect 24/7, though it'shard as it touches every aspect of daily life. I try to stay positive in the face of adversity ...it's just harder to do so when the people who are supposed to care don't. Find a support network ...this can crush you if you don't. I have to give kudos to my husband who has been trying to be more supportive ...he doesn't always suceed, but at least he's putting in an effort ..and I love him for it. He may be allowed someday to read my blog..maybe he'll truly get it then..but for now, it's my own little diary :P
