Hemp equals Health/Hemp Superfood Meets Science
Says Jim Saunders of Hemp Naturals
photo from the screening of 'Bringing It Home," a powerful and clear presentation about why we need to let our farmers grow industrial hemp once again in America. We use hemp products here, but make it illegal to grow it here. Hemp was once widely grown in America and is part of US History. it is grown in many nations. We import hemp to the US at great expense.
Met Jim Saunders CEO of Hemp Naturals. He was at the screening of "Bringing It Home," a documentary about Hemp. Many nations are benefitting from growing this product. The US has legally made it possible to import hemp, but not grow it. "Bringing It Home," is all about bringing Hemp Home to America. The film needs to be seen. It needs to be seen by Congress, and it needs to be shown in the White House. Our Economic Recovery as a farm nation would be enhanced by many more farmers growing hemp. It can be grown locally on small scale. It can be grown to support a local farm economy.
David Bronner, the CEO for Bronner's Magic Soap, in jung ho on hemp. He used it in his soaps. He is one of the big supporters of Hemp History Week.
I planted the dream with David and Linda Booker, co-director of the film that Hemp would be grown in America and that this film will create a tipping point for Hemp growing in America.
Enter Stage Right: He name is Jim Saunders. He has a very tasty hemp product and is taking this hemp to new heights by adding additional components to make hemp not only a superfood, but also a functional food.
My Health Concern Right Now
One of my main health concerns right now, as a 65 year old committed to the long haul of living in a Post GMO world, is that a lack endurance, unless I am using some of the other products I admire.
I am looking for a natural product, organically grown, that will aid my endurance. I am also concerned that my brain needs support. My mind is all over the map with a continuous stream of inspirations. I write about these on the Plant Your Dream Blog. Jim tells me that he has created a added ingredient to his Hemp product that will help the brain chemistry.
I am going to be using these products. I will keep you posted on my results and what I find.
I truly believe that within the next year, Hemp will become legal to grow. I want to grow it in my garden where I live with seven others.
Congrats to Jim Saunders for being part of the team helping to support Hemp Education.
More to come...including blogs on Hemp Equals Health/ and Hemp Superfood Meets Science.

WATCH! BRINGING IT HOME ABOUT HEMP
BRINGING IT HOME - work in progress from
Bringing It Home Movie on Vimeo. This is a work-in-progress section from BRINGING IT HOME, a documentary currently in production. In this sequence we meet home designer Anthony Brenner, whose mission is to build healthy, toxin-free homes for his clients. Inspired by his young daughter with multiple chemical sensitivities, his quest led him to build "America's First Hemp House" in Asheville, NC, using hempcrete which must be imported. Industrial hemp walls are breathable, carbon-negative, non-toxic, mold-pest and flame-resistant, and can help cut energy bills in half. The one drawback--the U.S. prohibits farming industrial hemp, the non-psychoactive cannabis sativa plant that 31 other nations grow. We also meet other industrial hemp builders and industry leaders at the 2nd Annual International Hemp Building Symposium in Spain, and learn how retrofitting with industrial hemp materials could as a sustainable building material, create 1,000s of jobs in the U.S. and make healthy homes affordable for all. We also follow Brenner as he visits the future site of The Bird's Nest, his dream of a hemp-built group home where his disabled daughter and other children with similar challenges can live and grow in a 100% chemical free environment.
