Working with the Neighbors
During my days at the SDSU Earthweek April 23-27, I very delightful and remarkable young woman asked me if I had read John Steinbeck's "Travels with Charlie"? No I hadn't. I had read "Tortilla Flat," and told her that my very own sweetie-pie Nadine reminded me of a character that could me in that book. I love John Steinbeck. Wow! Wouldn't that be something to settle down and leave a legacy in writing like that? Maybe my Plant Your Dream Blog will be the closest I come.
Nadine says I am ADD. Another friend once recommended I take medicines for being Bi-Polar. I would be lucky if that were the extent of the mental train of thoughts that go through my head moment ot moment.
The computer has not helped. I believe I am one of a million or more people who have been influenced by the massive technology that encourages forgetting what we are doing every time we shift the page.
I call this URL-itis.
I think it is a miracle that out of necessity there are days when I can focus long enough to compose my thoughts and get results.
I did that three times this week:
I Completed an Order of Heirloom Seeds to Baker Creek
Seeds are on the way.
I completed an order to Michael and Erica of Eden Foods
I have products coming for the Biofair May 8 at Hamilton High School LA.
MyCommunity Mushroom products on the way, and Turkey Tail
Yesterday I reconnected with Jennifer, the office manager for Fungi Perfecti.
I have some MyCommunity heading here and some bottles of Turkey Tail, that will go to a close relative of Nadine. She is participating in one of my experiments--testing out Turkey Tail for recovery from Breast Cancer.
Back to Jane...
Jane was the young woman who touched me when she said, I reminded her of a character in "travels with Charlie." She said I was one of those people who you meet once rarely....I have heard that before.
I would be in gratitude if I could see myself more often.
I am overcome by the messes I can create in my Don Quixote path that will not give up on this world. For me, I am not fighting Windmills. I see the possibility that we can have 1000 years of peace, one plant at a time.
Working with the Neighbors...
One of my biggest messes that I have not wanted to face, is the relationship with our neighbors. We live on a canyon. The side of the Canyon on our side is owned by no less than three neighbors.
This is a privately owned canyon.
Oh my god!
We have organic food growing there for years.
They have Roundup on their list of remedies to handle plants.
Hopefully, I will find a way to work out the neighbor relations that are now at an impasse.
Look forward to having Jane visit....
She works with Canyonland....
