One of the highlights of the 2012 Season that launched the Campaign to Grow A Healthier pizza, was to draw water from the pond at Luther Burbank's Home and Garden and water his plants. I journeyed to Santa Rosa, CA for the National Heirloom Expo where I did a brief opening and closing ceremony. Luther Burbank taught that we and plants grow by the same evolutionary organic principles. May we plant that awareness in 2013 even deeper as we expand a Grassroots movement that returns America to its roots as more of us become eminent gardeners of the American Dream. Props to the Organic Chefs helping to prepare the organic foods for the OFRF luncheon at this year’s #expowest. One of my joys each year is connecting with Aramark Kitchen head Jim Tripp. Over the years, the presence of the Organic Farming Research Foundation –OFRF–and Organic Trade Association–OTA– chefs interacting with the Aramark Kitchen staff, and the presence of #expowest at the Anaheim Convention Center has significantly influenced them to go Green and Move toward Organic. It is important to note that because of the presence of the Natural Product Expo West, and Organic Chefs in the Aramark kitchen of the Anaheim Convention Center, that center is one of the Greenest in the Nation--365 Days a Year.
Thrive was the 2012 Thrive. I took the pin to the Hillcrest Farmers' Market early in the early to Plant the Dream for the Success of the OFRF Projects.
