Nasty Healthy Demodex
My personal experience with herbal remedies for Demodex.

I went on Google looking for answers and eventually found out about the Demodex mite. After reading many articles and looking at the numerous photos of infection, I was able to determine that was the reason of my problem. Not having a dermatologist, my primary care physician recommended one who sluffed off my problem as though I was a nutcase! Shameful! How can a professional become certified if they are not going to listen or look at the patient? With all of the information on the Internet that is available, I feel like I could write a lengthy book on the subject of Demodex infestation. After reading some of your entries on this site, I have come to the conclusion that I am indeed lucky compared to most contributors! My Demodex is confined to my face and I have relatively little discomfort but will continue to treat this aggressively with herbal and natural homeopathy. Thank God for Tea Tree Oil, Borax, Peroxide, Isopropyl Alcohol, Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Lemon Juice, Apple Cider Vinegar and Macadamia Nut Oil as a carrier. Tomorrow I expect a delivery of Manuka Oil that promises to be 20 times more effective than the Tea Tree and with less abrasive results (I'll let you know)! Oh I forgot, I am brushing food grade Diatonaceous Earth on my face with a make-up brush at night so that I will feel that I am ready for the nightly onslaught. I have to say that each of these items have been effective, however, the lemon juice caused an immediate reaction producing boils on my face. As awful as this experience has been, it has been fascinating at the same time. What a versatile pest - doesn't discriminate on who it is going to munch on next! I am a 70 yr. old Caucasian women with an address to die for! I only mention this to prove my previous statement. Enough said, I read and give credence to everyone's approach as to how they treat the nasty critter. I'll give the Manuka oil a whirl and critique it after I have tried it a few days!
