CA Right to Know goes after Fraud/ NO 37 Misuses FDA Seal
Washington DC -- Today, the California Right to Know Yes on 37 campaign sent letters to the U.S. Department of Justice requesting a criminal investigation of the No on 37 campaign for possible fraudulent misuse of the official seal of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
“The Justice Department should investigate this fraudulent dirty trick perpetrated by the No on 37 campaign,” said Gary Ruskin, campaign manager of California Right to Know Yes on 37. “They are running a campaign of lies, deceit and trickery, and some of it may be criminal.”
The No on 37 campaign affixed the FDA’s seal to one of the campaign’s mailers. Section 506 of the U.S. Criminal Code states: “Whoever….knowingly uses, affixes, or impresses any such fraudulently made, forged, counterfeited, mutilated, or altered seal or facsimile thereof to or upon any certificate, instrument, commission, document, or paper of any description….shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.”
Most of us need to be growing Heirloom seeds and fresh food.
The No side is growing fraud and bad food in their Pizza Box.

The recent misuse of the FDA in a recent NO on Prop 37 mailer shares a telling fact. The FDA has been in the camp of Monsanto for more than 18 years, since GMO GE foods were released without properly testing on the people of the US.
It does not surprise me then that the NO side of Prop 37, heavily funded by Monsanto would illegally use the FDA symbol. in the mind of the No side, they own the FDA.
Also on the mailer you will see the support of the Farm Bureau for the Prop 37. The Farm Bureaus across the country are on the side of large scale big ag and and they are against Labeling of GE foods.
A dear organic ally asked me that question at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market last Sunday October 20. He asked, "Why would the San Diego Farm Bureau be opposed to Prop 37 if it was good for farmers?
The answer is that Farm Bureaus as well as the FDA are in the Monsanto Camp all over the nation. There may be some exceptions, but this is the rule. Look at some of the research on this blog.
The Local Department of Ag is run by the USDA. The Farm Bureau is a private org that purports to represent farmers. In many instances, they stand against small local farmers.

Special interests have been in control of the FDA for near 100 years.
I have been looking at this for a number of years.
The FDA biotech connection in clear and dominant.
When I wrote the 7.5 Million + 2 Petition I mention the Special Interests who have controlled our Gov since 1906. I was referring to FDA involvement. It is healthy that this info come out now.

When Dr. Wiley MD, who came up with the vision of the FDA started the agency, he had in mind that his Pure Food and Drug Law would outlaw misbranded and adulterated foods.
In 1929, he wrote a book that disappeared off many shelves Called" Crimes Against the Pure Food Law." or a title like that.

The No on 37 campaign affixed the FDA’s seal to one of the campaign’s mailers. The letter also provides evidence that the No on 37 campaign falsely attributed a direct quote to FDA in the campaign mailer. The quoted attribution, which appears below, is entirely false and fabricated. FDA did not make this statement and does not take a position on Prop 37.
The letter from California Right to Know was sent today to Lanny Breuer, Assistant Attorney General of the USDOJ Criminal Division; Laurel Rimon, Chief of the Special Prosecutions Unit of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California; and Vincent Tolino, Director of the Ethics and Integrity staff at the FDA.

The latest transgressions follows a litany of deceptions committed by the No on 37 campaign, whose top six funders are the six largest pesticide companies in the world.
The No on 37 campaign has repeatedly misrepresented the university affiliation of their lead spokesperson, Dr. Miller, in campaign ads, in violation of Stanford University policy.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the nation's largest professional association for nutritionists and dieticians, accused the No on 37 campaign of misrepresenting its position and misleading voters with false statements in the official California Voter's Guide.
“We are concerned that California voters are being misled," Academy President Ethan Bergman said in a press release. "Voters need accurate information in order to make an informed choice."
The anti-Proposition 37 ads that are now blanketing the state have been described as misleading by the San Jose Mercury News, Sacramento Bee, and San Francisco Chronicle.
Proposition 37 would require labeling of genetically engineered food in California.
