Date: 7/31/2012 11:08:09 PM ( 12 y ) ... viewed 20502 times My husband is 28 years old. Two years ago OCT. 2010, he had the flu and auto-medicated NSAIDS which apparently caused his stomach to bleed. He was in the hospital for 6 days. They did upper and lower endoscopy, tomography, scans, and many other exams. They found several superficial ulcers and a lesion by his GI tract. The pathology came back, and it was all negative. However, the lesion found was 2cm and the pathology from that lesion did not survive the pathology *I just found that out.) The did many more exams but nothing was found... After a few weeks, his recovery was successful. Last year JUL. 2011, we practice another endoscopy just to check on his health... They took biopsy samples and everything came back negative. The diagnosis was superficial gastritis. Now JUL. 2012, we practice another endoscopy and now they have found a polyp in his upper stomach that measures 6x4.1x3 cm. They took biopsies and these came back negative. The diagnosis was the same, gastritis. This polyp has an ulcer which at the time was not bleeding. We took him to the oncologist, and he ordered a tomography. The results show that he does have the lesion, it was done with contrast, and it showed discreet coloration. It is located by the cardia towards the lower part of his stomach. The doctor has suggested total gastrectomy in order to disregard cancer or GIST. Please help me, blood exams show that he is perfectly healthy and no pain. I have faith that this polyp has grown given the fact that the helicobacter pylori is present and I want to believe that once there is treatment for the bacteria the polyp will shrink.. PLease advice me... I really need help
