I want to thank the international leaders of are in San Diego July 2-10, for inspiring us to bring National Family Farm Coalition President, Ben F. Burkett,
a farmer in Mississippi to San Diego.

Ben signed on to the 7.5 Million + 2 Petition, that aims to help Co-Creat the Largest Grassroots Movement in California History. The goal will be not only to inspire victory November 6, for the Right to Know Label GMOs 2012 Ballot Initiative but get more than 1 million of us fired up to literately Grow a Healthier Pizza.
Grow a Healthier Pizza is the Rally Cry of the 7.5 Million + 2 Petition.

Ben F. Burkett is president of the National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC) in the U.S., and a cooperative-marketing-specialist member of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives Land Assistance Fund. Ben is a former Indian Springs manager of 16 years and current director of the Mississippi Association of Cooperatives, the local arm of The Federation of Southern Cooperatives. Ben is a farmer and community activist. He is a board member of the Community Food Security Coalition (CFSC).
Ben represents the NFFC on the Via Campesina Food Sovereignty Comission. La Via Campesina is the international movement which brings together millions of peasants, small and medium-size farmers, landless people, women farmers, indigenous people, migrants and agricultural workers from around the world. It defends small-scale sustainable agriculture as a way to promote social justice and dignity. It strongly opposes corporate driven agriculture and transnational companies that are destroying people and nature. La Via Campesina comprises about 150 local and national organizations in 70 countries from Africa, Asia,
Europe and the Americas. Altogether, it represents about 200 million farmers. It is an autonomous, pluralist and multicultural movement, independent from any political, economic or other type of affiliation.

It is 55 Days before I leave on a Caravan for the National Heirloom Expo, September 1-10, 2012. November 6, election day is about two months after the National Heirloom Expo, September 11-12-13, 2012. It is 9:51 am. 90 have signed the 7.5 Million + 2 Petition. I want to be part of the Greatest Grass Roots Movement In California History that says, "Grow a Healthier Pizza!" To 'Plant Your Dream," we each need to be guaranteed we are getting healthy food. For me, this means, Label GMO's because I have a Right to Know and a Right to Choose what I am eating. I am committed to help you Win Back Our Sacred Seeds. One Leg of this Journey is the Caravan, September 1-10, 2012 to the National Heirloom Expo, September 11-12-13, 2012 in Santa Rosa, California.
